Last week, it was all about The Black Expo, and let me tell you, it was something special! It all kicked off at the International African American Museum (IAAM) with the Black Expo 2024 kickoff event, hosted by Black Expo Black Pages. It was like a grand opening for a whole week of celebrating Black talent and creativity.
Chef Carlos Brown was the star of the show, introducing his mouthwatering Gullah Gourmet sauces. These sauces were a hit, adding flavor to everything from stir-fries to veggie dishes. Trust me, they're going to be a staple in kitchens everywhere!
Then there was The Black Expo South Black Wine & Spirits Tasting Garden. Located conveniently off King Street during the Charleston Wine and Food Street Fest, it offered a wide selection of wines and liquors from Black-owned brands. One standout was Tipsy Lady Cocktails, known for its Caribbean flavors and unique style.
The Taste Of Black Charleston was another highlight. It was off the charts! The food was amazing, the music was soulful, and the vibes were just right. It was a perfect 10/10 experience that truly captured the essence of Black culture.
The Black Expo Experience wrapped everything up, and it was incredible. From empowering talks to captivating performances, it was a true celebration of Black excellence. It was more than just an event; it was a movement towards unity and inclusivity.
I urge everyone to stay connected with Black Expo Black Pages and keep supporting Black businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs throughout the year. Let's keep the spirit of The Black Expo alive and thriving!
Great recap!
